How do I go about ordering fish? A shopping cart has been added to our website for your convenience and it is the quickest way to get your order into our hands. Additionally, we are able to take orders by email or phone. Feel free to give us a call to ensure that we have exactly what you are looking for. Tell us what you want and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are not only able, but also more than willing, to take the time to ensure that you are satisfied. We are here to answer as many questions as we possibly can, in order to ensure you have a successful fishkeeping experience.
What sets you apart from the rest?
When you have been in this business as long as we have, you start to develop an understanding for what quality really means. There are many factors that go into this equation. The first is starting with only the best breeding stock available. The second is maintaining ideal water conditions and feeding only the best foods. Many companies try to cut corners in these areas. Last but not least is customer service. Here at The Denver Cichlidarium we try to keep the customer as educated as possible. We believe that this will only make our job easier in the long run, and ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. A healthy fish makes a happy customer.
How can I pay for my order? All orders must be prepaid and there are a few payment options. The easiest is by utilizing PayPal in the Shopping Cart. Another option is using your credit card over the phone, as we will be able to ship your fish within 24 hours. You may also send us a personal check or money order, but we will not ship until payment has cleared.
How can you guarantee the sex of my fish? With nearly 50 years of experience comes some knowledge in this arena. Although we cannot 100% guarantee the sex of the fish, we are correct 90% of the time.
What if I am not satisfied with the fish you send me? Because we guarantee quality,The Denver Cichlidarium will take the fish back and issue you credit on your next order if not fully satisified. However, there will be a 20% restocking fee.You must pay for cost of shipping both to you and back to The Denver Cichlidarium. If the fish arrive back to us alive, they will be put in quarantine for 5 days. If they are alive at the end of the 5 day period a credit will be issued. This guarantee is only valid if The Denver Cichlidarium is notified within 48 hours after arrival and is subject to cancellation by us at any time.
What does small, medium and large represent? These three descriptions represent the size of the fish. Small is usually between one and one and a half inches. Medium is between two and three inches. Large is between three and five inches. At the time you place your order exact sizes will be given to you.
Will you be there to answer all my questions? Yes. We try our best to ensure that all questions are answered in a timely manner and we are confident that you will be satisfied with our response.
